TRIequestrian Schools Showjumping League

Saturday 12th November 2022, proved to be a good day for the Hunterhouse College Equestrian Team who were competing at the TRIequestrian Schools Showjumping league.

The 75cm team of Ava Phillips Martin (riding Tara’s Lady), Robyn Rice (riding Holiday Kruising), Isabella Irwin (riding Sam) and Lily Totten (riding Diamond) placed second in the team competition in what was a very exciting and close event. All four girls rode well with Robyn and Isabella achieving the 2 fastest times in the whole competition! In the end, it came down to total times and the team was just pipped at the post by less that 10 seconds.

Isabella and her beautiful pony Sam went on to finish 2nd in the 75cm individual competition. They achieved a double clear round in an even faster time than the team competition cutting corners and clearing jumps at tight angles. This was a superb performance for a first class rider and pony

Robyn Rice and Holiday Kruising were unlucky to have a single pole down in the 85cm Individual class, but as usual their time to complete the course was fabulouly speedy.

Effie Torrens Spence decided it was time for her and Bagel to challenge themselves, taking on the 1m individual competition for the very first time. Effie rode very professionally, achieving a double clear round and finishing just outside the top 6 places. A beautifully ridden round; this pair show great promise for the future.
