A Well-Resourced School

Significant improvements have been made to the school buildings and teaching and learning environment. In recent years purpose built facilities have been added to the school and existing facilities updated and refurbished.

The traditions and heritage of the College are clearly visible in Colinmore House which has undergone extensive renovation. The Redwood Centre provides modern restaurant facilities as well as a well-equipped Sports Hall and multi-gym.

In recent years a new science block has been built and several departmental areas including Music, Geography, Business Studies, Art and Technology & Design have undergone significant refurbishment.

In September 2011 an extensive development programme was completed, creating a new Learning Resource Centre housing sixty networked computers, new Sixth Form Study and Social Areas, a Performing Arts Suite and additional classroom space.

This has created a learning environment fit for the 21st Century.

“It hardly seems like seven years since our daughter began Year 8 at Hunterhouse College. From Day One she always felt part of the school, was challenged by the teaching, achieved academic success, enjoyed the activities and social life and, most importantly, made many good friends. With the significant investment programme and the new Sixth Form facilities, the school can be very proud of its achievements. Hunterhouse College goes from strength to strength so a big thank you to everyone for seven great years.”
