Our School Community

PTA

Our school community is led by our PTA who provide invaluable support for the College and organise the key community events each year.

Over the last three years, the PTA have provided much-needed resources to support students’ learning, including a new set of keyboards for Music; a printing press for Art; a polytunnel to facilitate the introduction of Horticulture; a new set of laptops and extensive resources for SEN. These are items which the school could not have provided itself and we thank the PTA for their ongoing support of our school community.

Community Events

The PTA runs two main events each year which brings together our community of students, parents/carers and staff. They are:

Christmas Craft Fair – this is held in November each year and offers fantastic opportunities for early Christmas shopping! There are professional craft stalls; student stalls; refreshments; Santa’s Grotto and music from the Junior Choir and the ukulele players.

Sausage Sizzle – this takes place on the last Monday in June and is a fantastic way for our incoming Y8 students and families to be welcomed into the Hunterhouse school community. Aside from the BBQ itself, there is a range of games and activities for adults and children to enjoy; a petting zoo; ice-cream van; bouncy castle and obstacle course; professional craft stalls; student stalls and a plant stall run by the Y12 Horticulture students.
